Aesthetically, this year’s annual blessing was inspired by a recent interest in Eastern European floral folk art - the leaves and flower patterns I’ve found are a joy to mimic. I’ve also always loved crows, but they’ve been on my mind more lately. The message, as always, is a personal wish for the new year.
“Move mountains one small stone at a time” (paraphrased from Confucius)
After having a particularly bottle-necked season - I am hoping for long awaited progress; a shift where I’ve otherwise felt “stuck”, and sharing that wish with those like me who’ve been moving metaphorical stone after stone and feeling like it isn’t making a bit of difference or revealing a solution. The message is to keep going, never give up — to have hope that the hard work of moving one stone at a time, like the clever crow, will eventually raise the water level, and soon reward you with a cool drink. Apply it to your respective lives as needed! Otherwise, just think of it as a nice sentiment. This small print also makes a perfect addition to your fridge, a lovely stocking stuffer, and a tasteful gift for a co-worker in the neighboring cubicle.
